Modernism with a bucolic twist

A new build for a design conscious couple in an AONB  demanded a garden that was in step with the architecture but that spoke to the landscape.
Grids and lines from the house found their way into paving patterns in the terrace, with spaces carved out for eating, fire pit and kitchen garden.
At the end of the garden, the studio signals a shift to a more naturalistic space, a meadow that bleeds happily into the view beyond.
